The Oedo Antique Market

The largest outdoor antique market in Japan

This is an excellent destination to purchase 1,000 yen yukata, kimono, and jinber, along with their accompanying accessories such as belts, ties, and bags. You will also discover a wide variety of ornaments, tea ceremony bowls and utensils, watches, and various other unique items.

​Ohio Racecourse Flea Market

One of the biggest flea markets in Tokyo
1st Sep, 2024 9:00am- 2:30pm

Bargaining is certainly encouraged at this market, as the prices set by the primarily independent sellers are flexible. Although the official closing time is 2:30pm., many vendors begin packing up around noon, so be sure to arrive early.

Asakusa Kaminarimon Bon Dance

An outdoor dance party

Like other Bon dance(odori) festivals, this event features a large yagura(festival tower float) around which visitors can dance. What sets this festival apart is its unique location, right in front of the iconic Kaminarimon Gate that leads to Sensoji Temple.

Shibuya Konno Hachimangu Annual Festival

13th Sep-15th Sep, 2024 

Holds one of the biggest festivals in Shibuya

From September 13 to September 15, several events will be held, including a special prayer session, a Shinto-style dance demonstration(kagura), and the grandest of them all: a large mikoshi(portable shrine) parade through Aoyama and Shibuya. The highlight is when 14 shrines come together in front of Shibuya 109 on Sunday.
